Purpose
This instruction outlines specific certification requirements for shell eggs as prescribed by Angola.
Policy
General Procedures
Grade Requirements - The shell eggs must be graded and certified as U.S. Grade A or better, as outlined in the United States Standards, Grades, and Weight Classes for Shell Eggs (AMS 56 (pdf)).
Duration of Quality (Expiration Dating) - The expiration date cannot exceed 30 days including the date of production.
Certification - When completing the certificate (Form LP-210S) the following information must be included:
- Total case count in 30 dozen equivalents.
- Company seal number.
- The Lot No. on the certificate must be the Julian date.
